Tile & stone · Cathedral City, CA
1980s and 90s tract homes brought up to date — floors, showers and backsplashes at honest prices.
Cathedral City is where most of the valley's working families bought in the 1980s and 90s, and those houses are due. The 12×12 almond ceramic that came with them is cracked across the slab lines, the fiberglass tub surrounds are yellow, and the kitchens still have four-inch tile backsplashes with the grout gone dark. We replace a lot of all three, on budgets that have to make sense.
The good news in Cathedral City is access: the tile and stone suppliers along Perez Road and Date Palm are five minutes from most of the city, which keeps material costs down and lets us send you to see a tile in person the same afternoon. We also do a lot of straightforward vinyl plank here for bedrooms and rentals.

Many Cathedral City floors are 12×12 ceramic over an inch of mud. Demo is the loud, dusty bulk of the job; we contain the dust, haul it the same day and flatten the slab before the new floor.
A fiberglass tub out and a tiled walk-in shower in, using mid-range porcelain and a prefabricated pan system, is the Cathedral City remodel we do most — a week of work and a bathroom that feels new.
Perez Road is the valley's tile warehouse district. We'll meet you there, walk the showroom and tell you honestly which tile will look like the sample once it's on your floor.

Yes. The old tile and mud bed come out, the slab is flattened and the cracks bridged with a membrane, and the new porcelain goes down flat. Expect a couple of days of demo before the floor starts going in.
Yes — small jobs keep the week full. A backsplash is a day plus a grout visit; a laundry room floor is about the same.
For bedrooms and living areas, yes: fast, waterproof-core and easy to replace a plank later. We still recommend tile in the bathrooms and the laundry.
