Installation · Coachella Valley
Showers, tub surrounds and bathroom walls — waterproofed properly, then tiled to last.
Shower and bathroom tile installation is the waterproofing and tiling of wet areas — shower walls and floors, tub surrounds, niches, curbs and benches — built so water goes down the drain and never into the wall.
A shower is the one tile job where what you can't see matters more than what you can. Behind the tile there has to be a continuous waterproofing membrane, a pan sloped to the drain, sealed corners and a flood test before a single tile goes on. Skip any of that and the prettiest shower in the valley is a leak with a countdown.
We build showers to the TCNA handbook: sheet or liquid membrane rated to ANSI A118.10, pre-sloped pans, proper curbs and niches, movement joints at every change of plane. Then the part people see — large-format porcelain, mosaic floors, stone, glass — laid out so the cuts land where they belong.

Josh measures the shower, checks the subfloor and the drain, and talks through tile size, layout and niche placement. You get a written estimate with a schedule.
Old tile out, new substrate in, membrane applied and corners sealed. The pan is flood-tested overnight before any tile goes on it.
Walls and floor tiled to the layout you approved, grouted, cleaned and sealed. We walk it with you and leave it ready for the glass.

Country-club condos in Palm Desert often have 1980s mud-set showers hiding soft drywall behind the tile; we open them up and rebuild the wet area properly.
Primary-suite showers in La Quinta tend to be large walk-ins with benches and double niches — more waterproofing, more layout, and the place large-format porcelain shines.
Mid-century bathrooms in Palm Springs call for period-right tile: 4×4 squares, penny rounds and colored grout lines laid out with the same care as the originals.

Three to five working days for a standard shower or tub surround: a day for demo and substrate, a day for waterproofing and the flood test, two to three days for tile and grout. Grout and silicone then cure for a couple of days before the first shower.
Every shower, every time. Tile and grout are not waterproof — the membrane behind them is. We use sheet or liquid membranes rated to ANSI A118.10 over the full wet area and flood-test the pan before tiling.
Yes, when the floor allows it. On a slab-on-grade home — most of the valley — a curbless shower means recessing the pan into the slab, which we quote after looking at the floor. Linear drains and large-format floor tile work well with it.
Epoxy grout doesn't absorb water, doesn't stain and never needs sealing, which matters with the valley's hard water. It costs more and is less forgiving to install. High-performance cement grout, sealed, is the usual choice; epoxy is worth it on shower floors and white grout lines.
