Indio is the valley's fastest-growing city, and most of its houses are less than twenty years old. That means post-tension slabs, open floor plans with 1,800 square feet of one tile, and builder-grade bathrooms that owners upgrade in year three: a real tiled shower in place of the fiberglass insert, a backsplash the builder didn't include, a patio tiled instead of bare concrete.
Two things make Indio its own job. The heat — Indio and Coachella run the hottest in the valley, so summer tile days start at six and outdoor mortar is timed to the shade — and the festivals. Coachella and Stagecoach weekends fill rentals around the Empire Polo Club, and owners want repairs done and remodels wrapped before April.

Nearly every newer Indio home sits on a post-tension slab with cables you can't cut. We scan before any recess for a curbless shower or a drain move, and plan floor layouts with movement joints across the long open rooms.
Before festival season
Rental owners near the polo grounds book us for January and February: regrouts, cracked-tile swaps and backsplash upgrades done before the April crowds and their deposits arrive.

Fair questions
Can you replace the fiberglass shower insert in my Indio home with tile?
Yes — it's the most common upgrade in Indio's newer tracts. The insert comes out, a waterproofed pan and walls go in, and you get a tiled shower sized to the same footprint, usually in four to five days.
Do you work around Coachella and Stagecoach weekends?
We avoid scheduling demo near the polo grounds on festival weekends and get rental repairs done in the weeks before. Elsewhere in Indio it's business as usual.
Is it too hot to tile a patio in Indio in summer?
Not if it's timed. Outdoor work starts at first light, mortar is mixed in the shade and set before the slab heats up, and we stop before the afternoon. Big outdoor jobs are easiest in the cooler months.
