Palm Springs tile is about proportion. The mid-century houses in Twin Palms, Vista Las Palmas, Deepwell and the Movie Colony were built with 4×4 squares, mosaic floors and terrazzo, and the best remodels keep that language — larger tile where it makes sense, but grids, colored grout and honed finishes that an Alexander or a Wexler would recognize.
